About a week and a half ago Adam told me he had an early birthday present to give me over the phone -- that he was able to swing ten days off for Thanksgiving, and is planning on using one of his State Department-issued R&Rs (meaning they'll pay for him to fly home) for the trip!
The original plan was to meet up for vacation in January (we'll still be taking that vacation, either around the same time, or maybe in February), so getting to see him a month and a half sooner is a real treat.
It's still three weeks away, but I'm already feeling incredibly thankful this year.
